Who We Are

I’m drawn to people whose excitement is hard to fake. The kind who can’t help but talk about what they’re building because they love it. That energy is contagious. When someone is both deeply curious and exceptionally good at their craft, I want to be in the room.

I’m at my best riffing with clear-thinking, hard-working builders. People who can zoom out to articulate a vision and then zoom back in to wrestle with the details. It feels less like investing and more like building alongside them. What I enjoy most is being a sounding board founders can trust… asking the annoying questions early, opening the right doors when it matters, and knowing when to get out of the way.

Before founding Mimosa Ventures, I was the fourth employee at Alerian, where I led data science and helped build the indices and analytics platforms that supported more than $20B in AUM. I later led financial operations at Preciate, working across strategy and execution as the company scaled through its Series A. Earlier in my career, I was a research analyst at Raymond James, focused on energy infrastructure.

I studied Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins, which shaped how I think about systems, signals, and constraints. It’s why I tend to look for structural answers before narrative ones.
